PATTERN

Updated: Mar 27

Each pattern of Mamianqun carries distinct symbolic meanings.

Historically, dragon and phoenix patterns hold revered status in Chinese culture, symbolizing power and prosperity. These patterns were commonly featured in the attire of emperors and concubines, representing love and marital bliss.

Patterns depicting plants and flowers convey various positive qualities. For instance, the peony, China's national flower, symbolizes wealth and honor. The lotus, emerging unsullied from muddy waters, signifies purity akin to jade. Chrysanthemum symbolizes longevity, while the lily represents purity and friendship, symbolizing harmonious relationships and a bright future.
